About

Our Perry Webster

Perry Webster is a 32-year-old LGBTQ+ science blogger and advocate based in San Francisco, California. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UC Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Science Education from Stanford University, Perry is passionate about bridging the gap between the LGBTQ+ community and the world of science.
Growing up in a supportive family, Perry was encouraged to pursue his interests in both science and LGBTQ+ activism. His passion for these subjects led him to create Bay Occupride, a blog that combines his love for science, education, and LGBTQ+ rights. Perry has worked with numerous organizations advocating for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the STEM field, creating safe spaces for queer students, and promoting diversity in scientific research.
Perry believes that by highlighting the achievements of LGBTQ+ scientists and fostering a more inclusive environment in science education, we can pave the way for a brighter and more equitable future for all.
